To answer that question, I’d say: it depends on your experience, your goals, and who you want to work with.
If you already have experience and a published portfolio
If you’re already creating content consistently and have a visible portfolio (published photos, videos, or trailers), everything becomes much easier. Having actual content is the key to attracting the attention of adult talent agencies that work with medium and large production companies around the world, or to spark the interest of other experienced creators looking for collaborators at their own level.
When I talk about being an “experienced creator,” I’m referring to someone who has:
- A solid subscriber base or consistent content on platforms like OnlyFans, Fansly, or Loyalfans.
- An active, verified profile on creator programs like Pornhub’s Model Program or other tube platforms.
Strategic Outreach: Where and How to Reach Out
Having a good portfolio is useless if you let it gather dust; you have to know how to promote it. Once you have material to show, your outreach strategy should be proactive and targeted:
-
Official Forms (Agencies and Production Companies): Go straight to the “Casting” or “Join Us” section on the official websites of talent agencies and production companies. Fill out the forms, attaching your verified links and your most professional photos and videos. It’s a formal channel, but be patient with response times.
-
Strategic Direct Messages (DMs) on X (Twitter) and Instagram: Here, contact is direct—from creator to creator or to casting directors. Don’t just send a simple “hello”: briefly introduce yourself, link your verified profile (OnlyFans/Fansly) or your portfolio, and propose a specific idea for a collaboration (collab). Be respectful, professional, and get to the point.
-
Dedicated communities on Reddit: Explore subreddits specifically for adult content creators and collaborations. Reddit is perfect for connecting quickly if you’re looking for independent projects or traffic exchanges, since you can showcase your content directly on your profile.
If you're starting from scratch (with no experience or portfolio)
If you don't have any followers, your accounts are new, or you haven't filmed anything with anyone yet, the approach changes completely. Professional agencies and established creators will rarely respond to a first message because they have no way of verifying that you're serious.
To take your first steps when you “don’t exist yet” in the industry, your strategy needs to be different:
- Classified ads are your gateway: Platforms like Sexyjobs, Red-Life, CraigList or Locanto are the best place to start. Unlike social media, your number of followers doesn’t matter here; people are actively looking for direct collaborations and entry-level projects.
- Focus on local opportunities (with some exceptions): If you don’t have the budget to travel or can’t travel, always look for options in your own city or region. While some established production companies or creators may cover travel expenses, the vast majority do not. Depending on where you live and what you’re looking for, message me and I can guide you on exactly where to look in your area.
Building a career or just living the experience?
Not everyone is looking for the same thing in this industry, and it’s essential that you’re clear about your goal from day one:
- Building a long-term career: This involves perseverance, professional vision, and building a solid career path. Here, you can choose to go the 100% independent route (building your personal brand, managing your own subscription platforms, and reinvesting in your equipment) or seek to enter the professional circuit by signing with an adult talent agency or joining established major production companies like Dorcel.
- Try it out on a one-time basis: If you just want to see what it’s like, do a one-time collaboration, or satisfy your curiosity without any intention of making a career out of it, that’s perfectly valid too.
In my case as an independent creator, I’m interested in both types of candidates, and I don’t care about your level of experience: I’m looking for both women who want to build a professional portfolio and those who simply want to experience filming a well-produced scene on a one-time basis.
Interested in filming a scene?
If you’re a woman and you’d like to collaborate with me (whether or not you have previous experience), you can contact me directly through the casting form on this page.
Whatever path you choose, the most important thing before taking the plunge is knowing who you’re working with. In another article, I’ll talk in detail about how to choose with confidence and how to spot red flags before accepting any project.
